BristolReport: Management Reporting Made Easy
BristolReportTM is the world's first Desktop Publishing tool specifically designed for the multidimensional server. Multidimensional servers are designed and optimised for the ad hoc analysis of data on the screen, but often lack the capability to produce high quality reports. BristolReport has been designed specifically to meet this critical requirement, the production of presentation quality output directly from your Oracle Express applications.
BristolReportTM is a new and unique product, a report generator that has been developed with multidimensional data servers such as Oracle Express in mind.
The Visual Designer
BristolReportTM enables you to design reports visually on the screen by positioning objects precisely on a representation of the printed page. The designer can interactively refine the properties of each object, such as its font, frame style, colour, number of decimal places, scale and orientation. The report can be previewed at any time, allowing the designer instantly to see exactly how the report will look when it is printed. In this way you can very quickly achieve the perfect result.
Web Publisher
Creating a report is easy. You simply drag and drop objects such as Tables, Graphs, Expressions or Measures, Text and Images. You are in complete control of positioning, alignment, page breaks and borders.
Because BristolReportTM understands the multidimensional nature of your data, it automatically displays the report in the correct format.
Standard Windows ease of use
BristolReportTM runs under Windows 3.11, Windows 95 and Windows NT. Features such as landscape/portrait orientation, print preview, copies/collate, context menus and dialog boxes for selecting colours and fonts are exactly as you would expect them to be. This ensures that BristolReportTM is an even more productive environment for you.
Performance and Reliability
Impressive performance and solid reliability are assured by BristolReport'sTM dynamic access to the multidimensional server. It does not require temporary storage or any new data structures and fetches only the data it needs to produce the report.
